This jacket is available in Pink & Grey I sized up (sz 6) so that Alexandria could wear layers underneath. Will be ideal for school as she can throw it on.

I loved so much of the collection, the cream overcoat with lace capped sleeves and hood, the printed and the polka dot jeans, the tulle once again and the layering!

Lelli Kellys and Ballet flats were the shoes worn by the models.

Can you just tell I got a Zlata Parcel?

Another review, this time the Fred Bare Riviera Dress,

Soft 100% cotton fully lined! Size 5 (I have to say I am really impressed with sizing this season it is spot on).

This will be perfect if those Summer months ever come along!

Ali did require help to put this on with the criss cross straps at the back,

but once the straps are seperated and the dress was over her head it wasn't a problem.

The fabric print is so pretty!

I love this, it is beautiful, soft 100% cotton, with beautiful detail.

The Size 5 is absolutely perfect. I took a photo of the back as it is

gorgeous and I had to show. I can see if we ever see summer

this wee top will be utilized over and over!

This time the gorgeous Fred Bare Striped Dress 2836,

it comes in two colours Red & Navy is made of 100% cotton.

I particularly love this style as it is fabulous for layering.

Ali has teamed it up with a Fred Bare Long Sleeve White Top from the

Fred Bare Winter Range, her Trelise Cooper Kids Skinny Minnie Jeans and

a Belt from Trelise Cooper.

The Sizing is perfect, we bought a size 5 and Ali is 5 in October.

At the back the straps cross over which just adds detail to the ensemble.

In The Summer she will wear it as a dress, but at the moment she is loving it just like this.

to raise money for Breast Cancer Research Trust, where Trelise is Patron.

Remember Me??? It has been awhile, but life has taken some amazing steps which have prevented me from playing with Zlata, but now I am back and looking forward to showcasing some of the gorgeous winter garments Zlata has instore and online!

Sebastian and Emmerson are the coolest little boys that i know.
I love their curly hair and big happy smiles. I hope one of the photos
will be framed.
I have to say Sonia is really good at putting outfits together and
always dresses the boys really funky.
Skinny and coloured jeans are huge this winter and both of the boys can
wear the look really well. Rock star look is in ;)

Hi Everyone, Zlata has returned from her weeks holiday (she had a blast) , so it is back to business. There has been a new delivery of Big By Fiona Scanlan. I can definitely vouch for the embroidered and crocheted top that Ali is wearing - it is exquisite! The shorts are definitely on the larger size but they are gorgoues, soft stretch cotton! We hope everyone is well and getting organised for the festive season? Zlata is taking a well deserved break this week, before she left I received a parcel,

it contained the most beautiful Fred Bare Christmas Dress,

I have chosen white for Ali but it also comes in pink.

Ali is wearing a size 4 and it is perfect in everyway, especially if you like it long!

PICCOLINA IS INSTORE AND ONLINE NOW!!!

And it is absolutely gorgeous! I love the denim shorts that Ali is wearing (size 4) and the White Peasant Embroidered Top (size 5). Both are exquisite!!

I attempted the size 5 in the wee denim dress but it was huge! So we are downsizing!

Zlata has one garment in each size, so please, to avoid disappointment get in fast!

a simple slip which is attached under, which i have detached so that Ali can wear the dress as a throw over her swimwear. I have bought a size 4 in both these

dresses and they are both a lovely fit.

This week I decided to have a bit of fun, I am a digital scrapper,

so this week I am combing my digi scrapping in my post.

In the first layout Ali is wearing the

Well I have been a bit slack lately so there are lots of previews on this post! Zlata has been flat out with stock - unpacking, uploading and the orders coming in are just mind boggling. On top of that she managed to get herself a gremlin and has been sick! If I lived closer I would have bowled in booted her home to bed! I don't know how she does it... but she does. There has been so many deliveries, including the beautiful Big by Fiona Scanlan "WONDER" range. These range is flying out the store so get in fast!

Trelise Cooper Kids has also delivered more gorgeous garments! These garments I know personally as with the flag ship store here in Auckland I frequent it often. My daughter has also been fortunate enough to participate in a fashion show for the store, where I managed to see what is coming and Oh My there are some stunning garments on route to Buckets and Spades!

Fred Bare has deliveries every other week so keeping up with what is instore is a mission, these are some of the latest deliveries.. I have to say I am obsessed with the Audrey Hepburn t-shirt!

I hope everyone had a wonderful weekend? I got a parcel today from Zlata and am so thrilled I just had to share .... 9045 GUESS Texas Girl Shortalls with stitching and t-shirts 9046 GUESS Texas Girl (the white one which has the most beautiful red lacing up the back) and 9028 GUESS Pretty in Praire Cap Sleeve Tee (red), which is heading back across the ditch as it is a wee bit too big LOL! I love it all though!

Latest Fred Drop

I hope everyone is well? This weeks FRED BARE drop is yummy nice! In my parcel was the black beaded jumpsuit (also available in pink) and I have to say I love it! Ali doesnt have a problem getting it on and off as it has big buttons down the front (she is 3.5yrs). I have bought her a size 5 and it will be perfect come summer! Also amongst the drop is the gorgeous mini skirt pictured above in black and pink!

I am once again showing you the white embroidered top from the first drop as it looks stunning with the pink pedal pushers that have just come in. Also with the pink side tie shorts.

There have been other deliverys.... and Zlata is still unpacking, pricing and photographing.

Just wait till you see... as there are some amazing garments!

Fiona Scanlan has designed two summer ranges this season, the first is BIG BY FIONA SCANLAN which is for ages 2-8 years and the second is FIONA BY FIONA SCANLAN which is for ages 8 - 12 years.

SUMMER 2007 PRESS RELEASE

This Summer Big by Fiona Scanlan drifts into consciousness with sun bleached colours and pre-loved cottons. The offering is a tantalizing closet full of hand me downs and a summer fresh with new escapades. The label once again leads the way in children’s wear, with an innovative palette and unique approach to style.

Big by FS proves the dress to be the item of the season for little girls. Art and craft is the first day of play; Patchwork smocks have a homemade feel with a cacophony of mismatched prints. Apron style dresses have oversized pockets that can hold all the world’s treasures and chambray tunics are laced with neck charms that little fingers will love to clutch.
Garden parties are served up deliciously with daisy-chain laced smocks, shirred cotton shirting and gingham shifts. A lot of you have asked Z about me, well I will give you a bit of a run down.

I live in New Zealand and am happily married with 5 children - Michael 14, Daniel 12, Joshua 10, Christopher 5 and Alexandria 3. I run our business in the construction industry from home which is so glamourous NOT! I have recently been introduced to the art of digital scrapbooking and am addicted! I have been addicted to Childrenswear for the last 20 years, although most of that was purchasing BOYs clothing LOL! Since having Ali I have been through so many different fazes of clothing but always end up coming back to Fred Bare, as you can't beat the price and quality. I am also a qualified Dress Maker, back in the days when it was cheaper to create than to buy I would supply my now 20 yr old niece with her summer and winter wardrobe.

I would also like to say THANKS to Z for allowing me the opportunity to blog for her, I am having a ball helping her, who would have ever thought that we would be able to do this with me being across the ditch, she honestly has so many fantastic ideas to make Buckets and Spades bigger and better - but Rome wasnt built in a day!

INSTORE THIS WEEK....

The first of the FRED BARE swimwear has arrived, pale pink with white hearts - very cute, but a size warning - go up a size! Both the swimsuit and bikini are gorgeous!

Lots of girls FRED BARE garments this week - once again we are a seeing alot of pink, black and white.... My pick of the bunch 4840, Ali tried it on and wouldn't take it off. You have to love multi seasonal garments! With the not so nice weather at the moment it looks fabulous layered - jeans and a long sleeve tee! (Another size warning on this - go up a size)

FRED BARE Boyswear included lots of shorts, unfortunately my male model wasn't so obliging this week!The checked board shorts ROCK, they will get thrashed when the warmer weather approaches!

Unfortunately that was about it for the week, Zlata has been running around all week, trying to find lighting to help with her photographing each and every item, to give you more accurate pictures of the garments. Looks like it is going to be an extremely busy week for her next week.... rumour has it that FIONA SCANLAN BIG and EENI MEENI MIINI MOH isn't far from delivery and Zlata is still waiting on TRELISE COOPER KIDS and GUESS!!!

Hi I am Tracy, I am one of Zlatas' customers and am passionate about childrenswear having 5 children of my own. I offered to help Zlata with her blog, as at the moment she is flat out with the Summer Collection Deliverys, trying to get everything instore and online as soon as possible. So I am going to give you some goss.....

DIESEL has arrived and is instore now, and I have to say the pieces I have purchased are absolutely stunning... the quality is gorgeous - the boys t-shirt stand out for me is the silver metallic as shown below. There are also other funky styles and coloured tees available now instore!

Now for the DIESEL Girls, I have to say Wowl! There are a couple of absolutely gorgeous Dresses - the khaki halter pinafore pictured below being my favourite! Followed closely by the denim capri button pants, there are also lots of tops and singlets instore.

The first FRED BARE Summer has arrived and is online now! As per normal it is living up to its' expectations. With Bold Bright Striped Dresses. Loads of gorgeous pink, black, white and yellow. My pick of the bunch includes the sateen pants which are nothing like what I expected, they are divine - more like a stretch polished cotton than a sateen. The fit is exceptional! The Pink Retro Dress pictured below with its' matching hat and the first of what is to be a flood of shortalls! So stay tuned.....

In the boys FRED BARE there are some amazing tees and shorts in funky prints and colours....

I would like to welcome all to this wonderful world of designer kids wear.

Further to this blog and a website we run 2 Buckets and Spades for Kids stores , located in Port Melbourne and Brighton in Victoria, Australia.

I would like to use this avenue to talk about all things to do with kids fashion. I want to be able to post regarding new seasons trends, what to wear with what, talk about hot selling items, etc

Basically this is an avenue for me to communicate my thoughts and feelings regarding kids fashion to my customers and receive feedback from people that matter the most.

Not only that, but in doing so I would like to create an on-line community that is able to express themselves and talk about kids fashion amongst like minded mothers.
